Nothing nasty from the garden this weekend!

So, no photos of snake eggs to show you this weekend, just this gorgeous French Lavender which is flowering so beautifully in the front garden. There are three large shrubs including one each side of the front door. I would not say the scent is overpowering but the leaves are very aromatic when you brush by them and the bees love the flower heads too. Such a gorgeous colour, lavender.
However, if there were prizes given for fragrance in the garden then this one below would be high up on the list. Technically this is not actually in our garden but it is climbing over from next door and I am encouraging it ! Delicious jasmine. In the evening the scent seems to be even stronger especially when the day has been warm.....
It's heavenly.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend. I was working Saturday and it looks as though I am working quite a few Saturdays until the end of November too. Am also suffering from a bit of "Sunday-itis" as it is back to work again tomorrow - Sunday has gone FAR TOO quickly.
I am off to make this recipe HERE from Faux Fuchsia. Am sure it will turn out well - she does great food.

    Gosh even I can claim Sundayitis this week! The HSC has started and Top is the presiding officer and I am one of his willing supervisors. It's a four week stint I love, the kids on the whole are just delightful.
    Enjoy your dinner it looks fabulous I might just have to take a copy from Faux Fuchsia too.

    There's nothing like the smell of jasmine on a warm night. I used to love it hanging on lattice by my window at home in Sydney.

    No Sundayitis here yet, although it is only 10am. I'm sure it will hit later.

    I am so going to enjoy living vicariously through your garden. At least till January, when I might get a little envious and whiny.

    And no Sundayitis here, my weekend starts on Sunday.

    I love both lavender and jasmine! (As part of our yard makeover, we planted a bunch of lavender, but I think the spot chosen wasn't sunny enough, as it didn't thrive, and barely bloomed. I'm going to dig up and replant where it gets full sun.)

    Lavender is my absolute favorite. I love stepping on it accidentally and have the fragrance burst out.

    I love your lavender. Mine has finally grown back and it looks great at the front of the house. I don't have any Jasmine and you've reminded me to go to the plant nursery and get one for a pot near the front door. Hopefully the smell will waft into the front hall.

    I feel for you on Sunday-itis. One day of weekend simply isn't enough... my personal preference is for three :)
