Below photograph shows a souvenir she brought back from her travels ..... However, she did have the good grace (!) to let me know before she sent me the photo that it is a henna one.... Otherwise she knows that I would probably have had a mild heart attack.
So, you'll know where I'll be tonight - at Melbourne Airport (with a quick visit first to the Qantas lounge for a restorative and celebratory glass of champagne).
How absolutely wonderful! I know what that feeling is like, we have to wait until October when our youngest will be here for two short, short weeks, and already I am counting the days. Have a lovely time and I hope today flies for you!
ReplyDeletehi sarah,

Oh, I am happy for you that she is back. As a Momma I breathed a sigh of relief... over her return AND the henna!
ReplyDeleteKnowing my daughter, she would get the henna tattoo and not tell us it was fake until we passed out! She loves the mischief and she's nearly 12 (going on 20 in her mind). God help me when she is actually 20!
ReplyDeleteYou must be thrilled to have her back.
Enjoy your time with your beautiful daughter. I am sure she will be so happy to see you, even if she doesn't let you know that right away:).
ReplyDeleteYippee! Welcome home to your gorgeous daughter! I expect we won't be seeing you for a couple of days while you catch up on all of her news and help her scrub off that henna tattoo!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Natasha.
I hope you have a great summer with your baby.
ReplyDeleteOh - thank you all for your kind wishes - so sweet of everyone and I really do appreciate you stopping and leaving comments ....
ReplyDeleteOh Sarah I am so excited for you what a fabulous time you and your girl are going to have.

How beautiful your daughter is! It is great for you both to have a long time together. Thank god, the tattoo will wear off. Luckily my daughters have never spoken of wanting tattoos for themselves.
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely...have a great mother daughter bonding fest...they grow up so fast.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you Sarah, I know how excited you must be. what a gorgeous girl, no surprises there. I laughed at the henna tatoo just imagining your relief!
ReplyDeleteJeanne:)
How fabulous and exciting for you to have your beautiful girl home...my boys are still a bit young for tatoos (albeit Henna)just yet, but I'm sure it won't be long....Enjoy xx
ReplyDeleteYay. So glad you're back together. I'm so jealus she has a waist. Did she get mine, cause I've been looking for it for a couple of years.
ReplyDeleteI myself often get a henna tattoo (though maybe on my ankle or wrist, not on my torso) in the summer. Why not!
That tattoo story is Hilarius!
ReplyDeleteDelighted to hear it; enjoy your celebratory bubbles!
ReplyDeleteAnd to those of you who have left comments after my first one to you I say a big thank you.... So very kind of you of all. Am happy to report now that she is here safely - as I type still tucked up in bed (it's 8.30am here) Flwrjane - your comment cracked me up (and her too - she said she's sending you some waist back!!) x
ReplyDeletep.s. the "tat" has almost faded!
