Weekend Flowers - a firm favourite

This photograph was sent to me by my sister (the one that got married a couple of months ago - click HERE if you like for the post all about her happy Wedding day).

She is delighted as the poppy plant in her garden is flowering profusely this year and she knows that they are one of my favourite flowers. Well, with a daughter named Poppy I couldn't really have any other favourite flower!....

Enjoy! And have a wonderful weekend everyone.

  1. What a fabulous specimen! I love poppies be it big oriental one's like this or thousands of wild poppies growing in a field.

  2. Beautiful flower :) I love the colour. And so apt for a daughter named Poppy!
When I send congratulations at work, I send an email with a pic of a beautiful bunch of flowers, and for a birthday, a pretty cupcake.

  3. hi sarah,

    what a gorgeous color.

i love your daughters name. i always thought that if i had daughters i would name them after flowers. my favs were daisy, lily, rose and poppy. how adorable would that have been.
    meanwhile i had 3 boys.
