Early morning in Paris (3rd arrondissement)

Look what Mr SE has sent me... a photograph....!!

This is the view from his hotel window... Hot off the press..

Saturday morning early in Paris... Yes, lucky Mr SE is there again. Well, maybe not quite so lucky as it sounds. He has spent the whole week in an industrial area near Lyon in France and worked very hard and also has an illness (man flu = a cold!!)... Ahhemmm.... However today (before he leaves to fly back to Australia this evening) he has the WHOLE DAY en Paris. Le sigh.... Le double sigh....

Yes, PARIS...

Readers who were with me this time last year know that he was there again at around the same time. .... Check out again about it HERE and mainly HERE you will see that he came back bearing a wonderful gift. My Chanel black ballerina shoes. (Janet from the Gardeners Cottage's favourite post from my blog!) To see a picture of my shoes scroll down to the end of THIS post....
I have said that I DO NOT NEED (different from want, of course) anything from Paris this year, dear Mr. SE...

However, he did send me these yesterday to my work as he had been away all week.... to wish me a happy weekend... They are beautiful and smell so lovely too.

And I hope your weekend, wherever you are and whatever you may be doing, is going really well...

  1. Sarah! I love that man of yours. I do remember your Chanel flats from last year...just beautiful and I thought the same thing last year too. I love this photo. I do the same thing...I always take a picture from my hotel window..no matter what the view. I can relate and this is a great shot.

Lovely flowers...he is so sweet. Hope you are having a great weekend :)

PS..must be something in the air...Lou has a sweet husband too..he was thinking Mulberry :)

  2. Beautiful flowers, Mr SE is an angel and I bet he brings a little something back from Paris!

  3. I've said it before, but Mr SE is a keeper to be sure.

  4. That is so nice of Mr. SE to send flowers while he is in Paris. What a great guy!

  5. He's a thoughtful husband...you know what they say...absence makes the heart grow fonder!

  6. What beautiful flowers. I love the photo the best though, Sarah!

Hope you're not wilting too much in the weather.

It's hard to find much to do despite it being the weekend...

  7. Lovely. Also heart-warming:).

  8. Sarah,
Thank you for the visit to my site. Now I am off to see those black ballerina's as a result of it being Janet's favorite blog for one and I need sexy flats for two. Love your taste in accessories!

  9. Your hubby sounds like a dream of man. So thoughtful and considerate. How sweet of him! But then again, I sincerely believe he has every reason to adore his wonderful wife. :)

A couple of weeks ago I was out with a friend for dinner. We met a couple of men in their early sixties. One of them told me he'd been married to the same woman for over 30 years. And in the course of the conversation, he told me during those years he had never bought flowers for his wife. Not once! He said he didn't see the point in wasting money on that. I was shocked beyond speech. I wonder how they made each other feel appreciated?

  10. "Le Sigh" - love that expression. He's a great guy and I hope he gets rid of his cold en route home.

  11. Oh, how beautiful! I adore Paris - and we are thinking about spending Christmas there this year! So beautiful all year round... We love the 7th, near the Eiffel Tower. So many beautiful restaurants and it's so residential. LOVE!!!

Mr SE is definitely a keeper. Flowers are beautiful and a thoughtful man is worth his weight in gold. Mr K doesn't often buy me flowers but he does do so many lovely things that show me he cares...

  12. hi sarah,

you actually got that a little wrong. that post you speak of is my favorite post of ALL the blogs i read. i'm not kidding. a lot of work and love went into what he did for you and i still think it is the most romantic thing ever. if i were you i'd frame the above photo, it's gorgeous. and if i were not so happily married myself i'd be asking if he had a brother.

all my best to you two.

  13. You got a good one there, Sarah! Maybe you can go on his next Paris trip? If he gets a double room anyway, as my hubs did on a work trip recently, the hotel is free for both - result!!

  14. you officially have the best husband EVER! mine's pretty good too though, spent the weekend drying my damaged shoes

Thank you for dropping by and for your comment.....
