Much to report since my last post- 'Singapore Part I'. Mr SE flew in to join us and he's still there for the Grand Prix (an annual treat to himself!)
Grand Prix circuit lit up (photo for Mr SE)....
We moved from one hotel to this one below. I know, rather out of this world so to speak. Nearly in the sky to be truthful. The 'ship' part at the top is the infinity swimming pool. Talk about a bit different and such an amazing experience.
Two photos above - me in that pool. Such views from the top.
And Louis Vuitton has a shop on its own island. Madness!
Old and new buildings above.
Singapore's Merlion.
Me and my girl.
And again, after a wonderful dinner at the very top - Skydeck on 57.
Contrasting with all the new buildings - a beautiful street of older characterful architecture.
And of course, no visit to Singapore is complete without a visit to Raffles Hotel.
So, all in all a fabulous time but it's good to be back in England. Next post I'll fill you in on the shopping.
Wow you look like you could float away!
ReplyDeleteThat is a crazy looking hotel, the architecture is so beyond what we see here.
Looks like a great place to be holidaying Sarah!
Glad you enjoyed Marina Bay Sands, Semi Expat. Did you float and admire the view all day long?
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos!
Looking forward to Part Three!
Yeowww, that pool view makes me feel a bit vertiginous!! So glad you had such a fantastic time, you have arrived in Blighty for a mini Indian summer it seems - perfect! England looking it's best for you! X
ReplyDeleteI feel scared watching the pool pictures, eek!
ReplyDeleteWhat a place, Singapore.
So great to see pictures of it, as Singapore is a place, I will never see for myself.
Thank you for sharing!
Wow! Those pictures are great - the pool one of you near the edge makes me feel abit queasy though... Hope it's not in an earth quake zone.. Welcome home to the sunshine.
