Perfect Day

Today was beautiful. A perfect Spring day in Melbourne - the temperature topped 23 degrees and the sun shone most of the day. Just look at the lovely blue sky with the little small wispy clouds. It was warm enough to be very comfortable but not overly hot - my absolute perfect weather.

Also perfect in that I had a day off and niece (Miss Sophs) came over for dinner this evening with her man - Mr Melbs. (I am ignoring the fact that the fly in the oinment is that I am working tomorrow - Saturday!)

Hope what ever you are doing you have a lovely weekend. What temperature / weather do you love the best and what time of the year? I have to say I think this is my favourite time of the year here in Melbourne.

  2. I love all times of the year here in Brisbane, apart from those few muggy, humid weeks during Summer. If I had to choose, I'd go for Spring. Low to mid 20's in temperature and glorious blue skies like your photo today. X

  3. hi sarah,

what a great day you had. nothing beats good weather and good friends!

we are experiencing amazing weather here in southern california and it's fall here. i love the spring too. winter is nice b/c we finally get rain and it rejuvenates the garden. and summers here mean trips to the beach. so to answer your question, i guess i'd say...geez, i can't decide.

    sorry about work on saturday.

  4. Looks fresh and clear...our skies are grey and rain is forecast.
Hmm...I like all the seasons and for different reasons.
I get a chance to reat fro gardening when the weather gets cold and rainy, and cocoon indoors when there is biting cold snow...I do lenjoy spring and the bulbs blooming with the promise of things to come, also love the warm summer sunshine for boating and my bones feel better...like Janet...I cannot decide!

  5. What lovely weather. You must be excited to have summer coming soon.
Oddly, after the worst summer on record, we are having extraordinarily beautiful weather here in Los Angeles this week.
    My summer has finally arrived!

  6. What lovely weather you are having in Melbourne!
Las week in Nevada it was quite cool with a breeze (jeans and a jacket, certainly), this week in Brisbane, mild, currently wearing light weight long sleeve top.
I hate the Queensland humidity and much prefer winter, Queensland winter, that is!

  8. I get pretty excited about the arrival of each season... this last week we've had some surprisingly warm weather for northern California in November. Which is a good thing, as I'm sorry to be missing Bonfire Night!

  10. I too will be working on Saturday, though your day will be long over.

Right now my favorite season is fall. The light is golden and the garden colors are inspiring, inspiring another look. I'm trying to live in the moment here.

    Oh but spring....

  14. I was lucky enough to go to the races on Saturday, to Stakes Day. I think it was the best weather of all the carnival days. Such a shame that you had to work!
