Well, what a beautiful selection of Peonys (or is it Peonies, yes, think it is the latter) awaited me this morning at the local market in Camberwell, Melbourne... - such lovely pink colours - pale and darker almost fuchsia too.... But in the end, I went for my favourite of all time - WHITE.....
Carried home (right hand photo) by Mr SE ... (me "do you want to be on the blog?", him "do I look fat in the photo???" - me "no, but you look like you are wearing a type of tunic dress though!" him "oh, ok then, if you must!")
And, look - how awful; I notice now he is carrying ALL the shopping too as well as the flowers.. ! (My excuse - I still have jet lag. Badly.) And, of course I had the camera...
However, not too much jet lag to arrange them ! Enjoy, and whatever you are doing this weekend too!! 
The peonies are gorgeous as it is a lovely photo of Mr SE.
ReplyDeleteI had some sent to my Mum in NZ for her birthday and she adored them. Unfortunately it is winter here and the selection of flowers is very limited.

ReplyDeleteYes, its strange to have Summer again and all the flowers associated - nice though too! (they - the peonies - have now all come out like huge frilly saucers - gorgeous!)
Lovely flowers, those peonies. We get them here for such a limited time, in the early summer and they are expensive. When I buy flowers, I want a huge bunch of them. I have saved by buying practically zero flowers for a year now. But believe me, I have splurged on other things then.

Hi Sarah - hope those lovely peonies are still alive apres le heat! It hasn't stopped raining here all w/e...thought of you when I popped into Planks yesterday to pick up a bowl of hyacinths which should come out at Christmas to take to a friend last night...they have all the Christmas lights strung outside; it looked so pretty even in the rain! ReplyDeleteHowever, don't know what I have unleashed - he now has the 'bit between his teeth' as yesterday (our Sunday) he was getting ready for a trip to Brisbane and trying on a couple of suits (that had not fitted for ages!) - one in particular a lovely Italian linen one ... When I said "That looks great - very 'European Stylie' - think you should def. wear it" He said "Oh, do you want a photo of me in it for your blog!".....
