I rather like this basket on wheels and can imagine myself at a market filling it to the brim with fresh produce but then a little voice at the back of my head says "Hmmmm, maybe not, is it a little old lady?".
Well that's what it could be perceived as here in UK .... So, whilst I like the concept - lovely grey willow basket, tasteful taupe linen liner, useful item etc., perhaps I just can't quite see myself with one of these yet except maybe at the markets in Australia in Melbourne where everyone seems to have some kind of basket on wheels (even double-decker ones!)

ReplyDeleteThe basket on wheels you show,is really good looking. I myself bought something like that about 15 years ago, but found it really difficult to handle in shops and then lifting it in my car. The wheel basket still exists, outside our front porch, serving as a container for dog towels and dog leaches. It has an attached lid, but it didn´t take long for the dogs to figure that out, so now they keep dragging stuff out and about. I have sprayed mine white, so it actually fits in the place where it is. Old women over here use bags on wheels. I´m not quite ready for that just yet.
ReplyDeleteIt is perhaps a little dangerously close to granny territory, which is why you should make sure you're wearing fishnet tights and a fabulous scarf when you venture out with it. That way you'll look fab. ;)
